By placing an order with The Vegan Bakes you are agreeing to these terms & conditions.
THE PRODUCT
Brownies & cookies have a shelf life of 10-14 days and must be kept in a sealed container in a cool place. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
Cakes & cupcakes should be eaten within 3 days and should be kept refrigerated.
Our cakes sometimes contain non-edible items such as dowels & you will be notified on collection. It is your responsibility to remove these before serving or eating.
ALLERGENS
Please get in contact to discuss allergies before ordering.
Our kitchen handles WHEAT, SOYA & NUTS. Whilst we don’t use milk or egg in our kitchen, products may contain MILK or EGG due to manufacturing methods of some of the ingredients we use. Our bakes are not suitable to WHEAT, SOYA, NUT, EGG & MILK allergy sufferers.
DELIVERY
All boxes are sent via APC Overnight courier, which usually takes 1-2 days but please allow for the odd delay in certain areas. Sometimes it can take 3-4 working days for delivery and we cannot refund due to items being delayed. Items being shipped to Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight & Remote Scotland will be shipped First Class Royal Mail, this is usually a 1-2 day service but please allow for the odd delay. Please allow at least 2 days from dispatch date for your order to arrive before getting in contact. If you have any queries or have not received your order within 2 days, please email hello@theveganbakes.com
Your items will be delivered to the address you entered on your order and we cannot accept any liability for failed delivery due to an incorrect address. Please ensure your address is correct when placing your order. Someone needs to be available at the delivery address at the time of the delivery. The Vegan Bakes take no responsibility for delays or spoiling of items due to no one being available at the delivery address.
DEPOSITS
I take a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront for all celebration & wedding cake orders. Once this deposit is received, your date & cake will be secured.
The remaining balance for your cake is due 2 weeks prior for celebration cakes & 8 weeks prior for wedding cakes. If you’re ordering with less than 4 weeks notice of the event date, full payment is required upon booking. Your order is only confirmed once payment is received. If payment isn’t made by the agreed dates, we have a right to cancel the order. The deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable regardless of this.
CANCELLATIONS
If you want to cancel your order, please let me know asap. If your order has already been baked we’re unable to cancel & give you a refund. Cancellation should be made within 24 hours of ordering but on occasion I may have already baked your goods and therefore will not be able to cancel your order. For celebration cakes: Orders cancelled before final payment is made will not receive your deposit back. If full payment is made and you cancel 7 days prior to your event, you will be refunded 50% but your deposit will be retained. If you cancel within the 7 days prior to your event the full payment will be retained. If your event has been postponed we will transfer your order & payment to your new date, subject to availability.

DAMAGES
Once a cake leaves my property, I am no longer responsible for any damages the cake might endure during any journeys, storing or set up.

REFUNDS
Due to the perishable nature of my products, unfortunately I am unable to offer refunds. Once you have placed an order, it is your responsibility to be available to receive the delivery. All our postal treats are baked & packaged with love & care to ensure they arrive to you in the same condition they left us. Please bare in mind the products are delicate & may break easily & on rare occasions they may not have been handled with care & some damage may occur. Refunds & replacements for cosmetic damage will be made at our discretion. Please provide a photo within 12 hours of delivery. Whilst they might not look as beautiful, they will still taste as amazing, as a small business, we appreciate your patience & understanding.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
By signing up to our subscription plan, you are committing to paying monthly for 3 or 6 months. You can pause your subscription at anytime. You can also cancel your subscription at anytime but you will incur a £10 cancellation fee payable by BACS.
COMPLAINTS
If you are unhappy with any of our items you must notify us in writing to hello@theveganbakes.com. This must be sent immediately upon receipt of product. You must include evidence of any faults or damages. Any refunds will be given at my discretion.
